Christmas film all wrapped up - ha ha
We finished filming for our Christmas short film, "Gotta Light?" yesterday. As always, this has been a great experience. My opinion is this film is going to have a very different feel than any of our other films. We filmed in different locations - including outside - at night - in the COLD. We also had a script this time. We've had scripts before but it's definitely the exception and not the rule. We had a new crew member too - Kevin - thanks for all of your help.

I've had the idea for this movie for awhile now. I know that we, OfficeRocker, are a team and everything is a group effort . . . but I just personally feel like I have to thank everyone involved in this project for making it a reality. We couldn't have done this without everyone's individual time, energy, talent and skills. I hope I don't leave anyone out.

It feels weird not to thank Lea for keeping us well fed, but I guess that's one of the drawbacks of not actually filming at the her house. Oh well - thanks to Lea - and all of our spouses for putting up with us.

"Gotta Light?" will debut at Louisville First Church's 3rd Annual Evening of Christmas Entertainment, Friday, Dec. 21 at 7:00 p.m.

Coming Home Empty Handed...
Another great 48-Hour Film project comes to a close. The awards are out and we came home empty handed. There were a lot of films in this year's event which means the popularity is gaining. A good thing. The more people that can experience a 48-Hour film project, the more people that will truly understand the difficulty in pulling something like this off.

Although we didn't win any awards this year, I am still extremely proud of our film, and I honestly feel it was one of our best works to date. We continually are learning and if this stuff was always a piece of cake, everyone would be doing it. I was amazed at the winning film submissions this year and their content. I am proud to say that if I still had a grandmother, I'd be proud of showing her our film.

What fun it was!!!
This is Knuckles, I just wanted to tell the whole crew and support team that we have that it is always a pleasure working with you guys. This film was demanding for everyone not just the director. But like the other films in the past we pulled it off. I know I tell all of you thanks for including me in on the projects, but I really mean it more now than ever. I have a great time with all of the crew when we do these crazy films.

The best thing about this film was almost jumping in the Ohio River after the infamous Monkey Sock. I can't believe I even considered it. I guess I was thinking OfficeRocker first and foremost. I can't wait for the next project we do as a crew. Once again thanks guys for including me in this wild and crazy ride!!

The Case of the Missing Monkey Sock

Well, we did it…another successful completion of a 48 Hour Film Project entry. Everything went smoothly compared to some previous efforts. The support of others and commitment from our cast, crew, and network of friends is just amazing. With most of us with little or no sleep, and one of us suffering through a migraine headache we delivered our film at 7:20pm Sunday night. 10 minutes ahead of the deadline. But unlike previous attempts we actually had time to pre-screen our film and make some tweaks prior to delivery (a luxury in a 48 hour event).

The film turned out great. We've got suspense, comedy, and yes even....MURDER! The official screenings for our group (Group D) will happen Wednesday @ 9:15pm and Thursday @ 7:00pm at Village 8 Theaters. Go to http://www.apextheatres.com/comingsoon.html for tickets. For more information and screening times of other groups, visit http://www.48hourfilm.com/louisville/. We hope to see you there!

What a Day!
It's about 1:20 a.m. and we've just wrapped a long day of filming. It's way too late to come up with anything intelligent or clever, but I will say OfficRocker Productions is very fortunate to not only have a talented group of people who are directly associated with making our films, but we also have a wonderful support system and tremendous resources. There's so much that goes into making a film in 48 hours from food to makeup to handcuffs. Don't ask. It's been a long day and we're all exhausted (and sweaty), but also very excited. Tomorrow comes editing and we'll be making a mad dash to submit our finished product by 7:30 p.m. Thanks to all that helped - you know who you are - and hopefully we'll see you at the screening(s) later this week. Oh and let's give props (no pun intended) to Ben and Bryan for getting the website updated. Nice job!!

A beautiful day for shooting video in downtown Louisville!
